FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Where are you based?
Caroline Springs, VIC. Located only 22km west of the Melbourne CBD.

2. When are you available?
Wednesday - Saturday every week. Please contact me before scheduling your shoot.

3. What is a model release form & why do I have to sign one?
A model release form is a legal document signed by the subject of the photograph, granting permission to publish the photograph in one form or another. All models (experienced or not) are required to sign one as I occassionally submit images to magazines, might publish them in a book & upload them to the web for public view. Don't worry though, even though you have signed a release form, I still ask your permission before posting. I understand some client's are uncomfortable with their image being used and I respect that decision.

4. Do you provide hair & makeup for my shoot?
Yes! My packages include a professional makeup artist. I only use the best & expect nothing less than perfect. I provide all the hairstyling for your shoot.

5. Do you supply the costume for my shoot?
I have a collection of vintage & vintage inspired goods but it is recommended that you bring your own outfits too, incase I do not have your size or anything you might like. I also have numerous pairs of shoes, gloves, hats & props like parasols & fans. You are welcome to bring your own.

6. I don't own any vintage clothing. Does this matter?
No. Most of today's clothing can appear to look vintage with the right posing & treatment in Photoshop.

7. How do I pay for my shoot?
Please read the services page for more information.

8. What if I cancel my booking or don't show up for my shoot?
You will LOSE your deposit & another will have to be made in order to shoot. Deposits are not returned due to last minute cancellations by a makeup artist or weather (things I have no control over) but will be held for a future shoot within 3 months of receiving it.

9. What preparation do I need to do before my shoot?
Be sure to be plucked, waxed or shaved. Have nails (including toenails) painted & tidy. Come to the shoot with a clean face & unwashed hair (wash it the morning of the day before the shoot).

10. Am I able to purchase extra images?
Of course. I charge an extra $15 per high-resolution edited image you select & $25 per A4 print. Please keep in mind that I have other shoots to edit so please keep your extra images to a minimum.

11. I have never modeled before. Help!
Don't stress. I direct you with your poses & facial expressions. For most, they have never been in front of the camera and it's always handy to have a professional lend a hand.

12. What age do you have to be to work with you?
Any age, however if you are under the legal age (18) a parent or guardians permission is required to shoot with me. They will be required to sign the model release form stating so.

13. Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes! If you are looking for the perfect gift for a loved one then get your hands on a Pinup For A Day Gift Certificate. Full payment of $450.00 is required to purchase a certificate. Certificates are valid for 1 year from the purchase date.

14. Do you only shoot pinups?
No. As a photographer I offer a range of services for models, actors, performers, bands, artists, clothing labels & designers.

15. Can I BYO to ease my nerves?
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring alcoholic beverages, however be sure that you do not exceed the legal limit if driving & you must be over the age of 18.

16. What if I am unhappy with the end results?
Fortunately I have not come across a client who hasn't been thrilled with the outcome of their shoot but, if this event should arise a shoot free-of-charge will be placed to try to meet your needs.
